CASUAL CATERING STAFF/ COOKS

Coast to Coast the Golden Roast Townsville is looking for reliable, enthusiastic and friendly people to join our team as Casual Catering Staff/Cooks.

This is a flexible casual role working across a range of events throughout Townsville and North Queensland.

No experience is necessary – full training will be provided! We’re more interested in your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn than previous hospitality experience.

This role is perfect for Uni students looking for flexible work, as well as retired couples, couples and friends looking to work as a team.

• Loading the van and checking the pack sheet to ensure everything is ready

• Driving to event sites and assisting with unloading and setup

• Preparing meats, vegetables and other food items for roasting

• Completing food preparation and getting everything ready for service

• Setting up and maintaining the buffet

• Clearing plates after mains

• Preparing and presenting desserts where required

• Packing down after the event and loading the van

• Returning equipment and supplies to base

• Washing, cleaning and packing away catering equipment

• Assisting with general cleaning and other event duties as required

• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude

• Friendly and well-presented

• Comfortable working as part of a team

• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift/carry items as required

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment

• Good communication skills

• Flexible availability, including weekends and occasional evenings

• A willingness to learn and follow instructions

• Food handling experience or certification is an advantage, but not essential

No hospitality or catering experience? No problem! Full training will be provided to the right applicants.
