About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Welder to join our growing fabrication team. The successful applicant will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and welding steel components and structures for a variety of engineering and manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and fabrication specifications.
Prepare, cut, shape and fit metal components for fabrication.
Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW and MMAW (Stick) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel and other metals.
Fabricate structural steel, pipework and mechanical components to required specifications.
Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspect completed welds and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
Repair, modify and maintain fabricated structures and equipment as required.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers and other fabrication personnel to meet production schedules.
Essential Requirements
Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent), or at least three years of relevant full-time work experience.
Demonstrated experience as a Welder (First Class) in a fabrication or engineering environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Experience with MIG welding is essential; experience in TIG, FCAW and MMAW welding is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Salary of $79,000 – $82,000 per annum plus superannuation.
