Cleaning and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Cleaning and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to take on a vital role in managing and enhancing cleaning operations and facilities maintenance. This position involves leading a team, coordinating services, and ensuring a consistently high level of cleanliness and presentation. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact, managing contractors and maintenance activities, and implementing improvements to meet UOW Pulse's exceptional standards.

• Lead and coordinate cleaning services, maintaining a spotless and well-presented environment across all UOW Pulse locations.
• Plan and supervise cleaning operations, allocating resources efficiently and managing contractors effectively.
• Maintain comprehensive operational documentation, including SOPs and SWMS, to ensure compliance and efficient processes.
• Act as the primary maintenance coordinator, engaging and managing contractors for timely and high-quality work.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to organizational procedures and WHS obligations.
• Implement innovative service improvements, staying updated with industry best practices to enhance cleaning and maintenance operations.
• Ensure all facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained, promptly addressing any issues or concerns.
• Provide operational oversight, monitoring, and evaluating cleaning services to maintain exceptional quality.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
• Adapt to changing priorities, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to additional responsibilities.

• Proven experience in cleaning or facilities management, with a track record of leadership and coordination.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures, standards, and best practices, ensuring a high level of expertise.
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Proficiency in using software for operational documentation, maintenance management, and contractor engagement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships and effective collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a harmonious and productive work environment.
• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and innovations, embracing continuous improvement.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on implementing practical and effective solutions.
• Understanding of WHS obligations and a commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, ensuring a responsive and agile approach to work.
