We have more than 15 main sites, including hospitals, centres and clinics that provide comprehensive care from welcoming newborns to supporting older people and a full range of services in between. The Department
The Emergency Service within Alfred Care Group sees approximately 95,000 patients per annum. Sandringham Emergency Department manages approximately 30,000 patients, is community focused providing care to adult and paediatric patients and has an integrated Urgent Care Centre model of care. The Alfred Emergency & Trauma Centre (E&TC) manages approximately 65,000 patients and provides emergency medical services to the local community whilst also providing Victorian state-wide services for:

The Role
Clinical Nurse Educators (CNE) are leaders within nursing and education and role model professional nursing practice. As members of the Alfred Care Group Emergency Services Nursing Education team, they model the values of Nursing Services by exemplifying and promoting excellence in practice and fostering an environment of inquiry and continuous learning. As a recognised resource for staff, the CNE assists clinical nurses to achieve optimal outcomes in patient care delivery.
Clinical Nurse Educators are responsible for identifying, anticipating and responding to the developmental needs of the nurse and the clinical environment, achieving this through collaborating with local area and organisational stakeholders to establish, implement and evaluate plans that further equip the nurse to respond to the increasingly complex needs of patients.
