Casual Registered or Enrolled Nurse – Townsville

Townsville GP Superclinic is looking for an additional casual nurse to join our friendly team and work collaboratively with the GPs, allied health professionals, and support staff to provide high-quality, integrated care for our patients.

While experience is preferred, we value attitude and cultural fit above all else. We are excited to provide comprehensive training and mentorship for a passionate new nurse ready to grow with our team.

The Role:  We offer a high-volume casual roster (3 to 4 shifts, approx. 22.5 to 37.5 hours/week). We are looking for nurses who embrace flexibility across our operating hours:

Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:30PM

Thurs: 8:00 AM – 9:30PM

Sat & Sun: 9:00AM – 5:00PM

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Triage, emergency response, immunisations, ECGs, spirometry, and audiograms
• Assisting GPs with surgical procedures, excisions, and wound management
• Infection control, sterilisation, immunisations, and vaccinations
• Health assessments, chronic disease care plans, and health coaching
• Managing eHealth, patient reminders, and treatment room coordination.
• Supporting Enrolled Nurses (applicable for Registered Nurse position)

The successful applicant must have:

• Current AHPRA General Registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Full Australian working rights
• Great time management and multi-tasking ability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A solution-focused approach with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
• Excellent computer skills

Desirable:

• Previous nursing experience in an Australian General Practice setting
• Proficiency in Best Practice or similar Medicare clinical software
• Experience or qualifications in immunisations, care plans, and health assessments
