We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a major application migration program for a leading enterprise organization. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical network infrastructure changes, supporting large-scale migrations, and ensuring seamless service continuity across complex environments.

This initial 6-month contract is based in Sydney and offers a strong likelihood of extension for high-performing contractors.

About the Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network solutions that enable the successful migration of enterprise applications. Working alongside architecture, engineering, and automation teams, you will deliver secure, resilient, and scalable network services while maintaining high availability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support Cisco ASA firewalls and Cisco ACI environments.
• Deploy and manage firewall policies, service objects, and network segmentation requirements.
• Execute passive, canary, and production deployments.
• Develop implementation plans, runbooks, change documentation, and rollback procedures.
• Troubleshoot network issues and support migration activities.
• Configure, administer, and support F5 GTM and F5 LTM platforms.
• Monitor network performance and capacity to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Ensure solutions align with availability, resilience, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams to deliver network changes within project timelines.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI technologies.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and troubleshooting enterprise firewall policies.
• Proven expertise in F5 GTM and F5 LTM design, deployment, and support.
• Experience delivering network infrastructure changes within large enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of network capacity planning and performance monitoring.
• Experience preparing and executing change activities in production environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Highly Desirable

• Experience supporting large-scale application migration or transformation programs.
• Experience in Cisco ASA highly desirable
• Exposure to automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery frameworks.
• Relevant Cisco and/or F5 certifications.
