Yardperson / Storeperson

Universal Welding Services Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Yardperson / Storeperson to join our team at our structural steel fabrication facility in Stapylton, Queensland.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, safety-focused and comfortable working in a busy workshop and yard environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and store incoming steel, materials and deliveries

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift

• Deliver and collect materials using company vehicles

• Pick and prepare materials for workshop and site projects

• Maintain accurate stock and delivery records

• Organise and maintain the yard, storage areas and workshop

• Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery dockets

• Coordinate with workshop, project and procurement team

• Complete general yard and store duties as required

• Follow all company safety procedures and site requirements

Essential Requirements

• Current HR Driver Licence

• Current High Risk Work Forklift Licence (LF)

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, stores or construction environment

• Experience loading, restraining and transporting materials

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Ability to complete basic paperwork and use electronic systems

• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual tasks

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Knowledge of steel products, sections and fittings

• Dogging or rigging licence

• Construction White Card
