The trustee for Gavriel @ QVM Unit Trust The Corner Chicken Shop is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy poultry retail business. The successful candidate will be responsible for product selection, stock control, pricing, budgeting, staff supervision, marketing activities, and ensuring high operational standards.

  Monitor customer purchasing patterns, seasonal demand, and sales performance to determine product selection, maintain appropriate stock levels, and ensure popular items remain available while minimizing excess inventory and wastage.   Plan and manage the procurement of food products, beverages, packaging materials, and other retail supplies by liaising with suppliers, negotiating prices and delivery schedules, and maintaining cost-effective purchasing practices.   Develop and implement pricing strategies, promotional offers, and local marketing initiatives, including in-store displays and digital advertising, to increase customer engagement, attract new business, and encourage repeat patronage.

  Deliver a high standard of customer service by assisting customers with enquiries, processing sales, resolving complaints professionally, and ensuring customer feedback is addressed to improve overall satisfaction.   Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales transactions, supplier invoices, and stock movements by conducting regular stocktakes, monitoring inventory turnover, investigating discrepancies, and reducing stock losses.   Prepare operational budgets, monitor sales and expenditure, review financial performance, and implement effective cost-control measures to improve profitability while maintaining product quality and service standards.

  Recruit, train, roster, supervise, and evaluate staff performance, ensuring employees understand workplace procedures, customer service expectations, food handling requirements, and operational standards.   Ensure the retail premises comply with food safety legislation, occupational health and safety requirements, and relevant business regulations by maintaining a clean and safe workplace, conducting routine safety checks, and implementing corrective actions where required.   Monitor the presentation and cleanliness of the store, ensuring food displays, service areas, and customer facilities are maintained to a high standard to enhance the customer experience and uphold the business's reputation.
