About the role
TRUCK HYDRAULIC SOLUTIONS is seeking a skilled Workshop / Onsite Hydraulic Fitter for Commercial Vehicles to join our team in Wacol Brisbane . This is a full-time position based at our workshop location, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of hydraulic systems on commercial vehicles. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' vehicles operate safely and efficiently, whilst maintaining the high standards TRUCK HYDRAULIC SOLUTIONS is known for.
What you'll be doing
Installing, assembling and testing hydraulic systems and components on on road transport equipment
Light fabricating and welding of brackets on and off vehicles
Diagnosing hydraulic faults and problems using appropriate testing equipment and procedures repairing and replacing damaged or worn hydraulic hoses, cylinders, pumps and valves
Reading and interpreting hydraulic system schematics, technical drawings and service manuals
Collaborating with team members and management to meet project deadlines and customer satisfaction goals
What we're looking for
A recognised qualification in hydraulic fitting or automotive hydraulic systems, or equivalent proven experience in the field
Minimum 2-3 years' hands-on experience as a hydraulic fitter, preferably working with commercial vehicles or heavy machinery
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques
Competence in using hydraulic testing equipment, diagnostic tools and pressure gauges
Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics and service documentation
A current driver's licence (class C minimum) and ability to travel to customer sites as required
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
A commitment to health and safety standards and best practices in the automotive trades
Physical fitness and ability to work in varying positions, including overhead work
Experience with commercial vehicle hydraulic systems, diesel engines or truck maintenance is highly desirable
