Analyst Programmer

About the role

The Analyst Programmer is responsible for supporting the analysis, development, testing and ongoing improvement of software applications developed and supported by Optimum Insurance Technologies Pty Ltd. The position works with business stakeholders and software developers to analyse system requirements, develop and implement application solutions, test system functionality and support ongoing software enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and system requirements for software applications
• Review existing systems, processes and application functionality
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Design, develop, configure and modify software application functionality
• Work with developers on application changes, enhancements and system improvements
• Develop and maintain test scenarios and test cases
• Perform functional, integration and system testing
• Identify, investigate and document software defects
• Assist with deployment and implementation of software changes
• Maintain technical specifications and system documentation

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, software development or a related discipline
• Previous experience in programming, application development, systems analysis or a similar technical role
• Experience analysing and documenting software requirements
• Experience with software development, testing and implementation
• Systems analysis skills

• Ability to work with software developers and business stakeholders
