About the role
Beverley Park School, located in Campbelltown in Sydney’s South West, educates students across Kindergarten to Year 12 with diverse learning needs, including moderate and severe intellectual disabilities, autism, and complex health and behaviour challenges. Our diverse community includes 11% English as an additional language or dialect students and 9% who identify as Aboriginal.
We celebrate each student’s abilities and support lifelong learning within a harmonious school environment. Students access rich learning experiences across all Key Learning Areas, as well as weekly music therapy and swimming sessions led by trained specialists. We value community involvement and prioritise positive engagement in school events.
Our goal is to provide high-quality education that addresses the learning, physical, emotional, health, and sensory needs of every student.
Approval to teach special education and/or have experience teaching students with Autism ( Primary ) Moderate and Severe intellectual Disability (Primary) .
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor personalised learning plans, behaviour support plans, and health support plans across Kindergarten to Year 12, including supporting students with complex health and behaviour needs.
Well-developed communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills to engage proactively and professionally with staff, parents/carers, and external stakeholders, building effective relationships.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated, data-informed programs that use explicit teaching, evidence-based practices, and high expectations to improve academic, social, and behavioural outcomes.
ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
