Shopfitter

345 Projects QLD is looking for experienced Shopfitters to join our growing team.

Working across commercial and retail fit-out projects throughout Victoria —including projects for Woolworths, Coles and other retail giant. You will deliver high-quality shopfitting works in live retail environments.

This is a casual position with the opportunity to transition into full-time employment for the right candidate. Travel throughout Queensland, including occasional overnight stays, may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial joinery and shopfitting components.

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Complete fit-out works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

• Operate hand and power tools safely.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe worksite.

• Work collaboratively with Site Managers, subcontractors and other trades.

• Manage small to medium fit-out projects independently when required.

• Coordinate daily site activities to ensure works remain on programme.

• Take responsibility for day-to-day site safety when managing projects.

• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and site safety inspections where required.

• Ensure SWMS, permits and other safety documentation are completed and followed.

• Identify and manage site hazards and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.

• Monitor subcontractors and workers to ensure they comply with WHS requirements and company procedures.

• Liaise professionally with clients, including Woolworths representatives, Site Managers, subcontractors and other trades.

• Maintain 345 Projects’ standards of safety, quality and professionalism while working in live retail environments.

Essential Requirements

• Previous commercial shopfitting experience.

• Experience working in live retail environments is highly regarded.

• Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Own tools are essential.

• Willingness to work nights and weekends when required.

• Willingness to travel throughout Queensland, including occasional overnight stays.

• Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.

• Confidence coordinating trades and managing day-to-day site safety.

• Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.

• A professional and client-focused approach.

Desirable

• Trade qualification in Shopfitting, Cabinet Making or Carpentry.

• Current First Aid Certificate.

• Previous experience supervising commercial or retail fit-out projects.

• Experience working on Woolworths or other major retail projects.
