About the Role
We are seeking experienced and motivated Traffic Engineers to join our Traffic Services team where no two days are the same. You will balance technical engineering work, stakeholder engagement and project delivery while helping create safer, more efficient transport outcomes for our community.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with at least two years' experience to contribute to the planning, design and delivery of transport solutions that enhance safety, accessibility and connectivity across our growing community.
As part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you will provide expert traffic and transport engineering advice while working on a diverse portfolio of projects that support sustainable growth and deliver positive outcomes for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Undertake traffic and transport investigations, analysis and engineering design.
• Prepare and review road safety assessments and recommend practical safety improvements.
• Assess the traffic impacts of proposed developments and prepare development impact assessments.
• Manage external consultants to ensure quality, timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Provide professional traffic and transport advice to internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You are a qualified Traffic Engineer who combines sound technical expertise with a collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. You are adaptable, solutions-focused and capable of managing competing priorities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
• A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in traffic engineering, civil engineering design or transport planning.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards, Austroads Guides and engineering codes of practice.
• Well-developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A current C Class Driver's Licence.
