Occupational Health Assessor| Berrigan NSW| Permanent Full Time

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Exercise Scientist to join our Occupational Health team in Berrigan on a full-time basis. This is a varied role combining onsite medical screening, injury-prevention services, workers’ compensation support and occupational health administration.

The Role

As an Occupational Health Assessor, you will deliver high-quality occupational health services to workers and corporate clients. You will conduct workplace health assessments, support injury prevention initiatives and ensure clients receive accurate, timely and professional services.

You will work independently and collaboratively while building trusted relationships with workers, clients and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct onsite occupational health and medical screening servicesComplete functional capacity assessmentsPerform preliminary drug and urine screening, spirometry, ECGs and audiometrySupport injury-prevention and workplace health initiativesCoordinate GP correspondence and follow up according to client requirementsArrange medical appointments for injured workers and liaise with relevant stakeholdersReview assessment results and provide accurate, high-quality reports to clientsHelp workers feel comfortable and supported throughout pre-employment assessments and medical screeningsPrepare, clean and maintain assessment rooms and clinical equipmentEnsure clinical rooms are appropriately stocked and equipment is sterilisedComplete administrative documentation in accordance with accreditation requirementsRecord onsite service time accurately for billing purposesTravel to client sites when requiredMaintain safe working practices and promptly report incidents and hazards

About You

Qualification as an Exercise Scientist or Exercise PhysiologistStrong commitment to professional and clinical standardsAbility to conduct assessments accurately and confidentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong relationship-building and customer-service capabilitiesEmpathetic and professional approach when supporting clients and workersExcellent time-management and prioritisation skillsConfidence using computer-based systems and applicationsAbility to work independently and contribute effectively within a teamAdaptable, organised and comfortable working across different environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
