Your first physio job will shape the clinician you become. At 6S PHYSIO, we take that responsibility seriously.

We’ve built a structured graduate program designed to help you become a confident, capable and well-rounded private practice physiotherapist. You'll have experienced clinicians beside you, time to learn, regular feedback and a caseload that grows as you do.

Several members of our current team started their careers with us as new graduates, including physios who joined us as graduates in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. They continue to build their careers at 6S. Across the broader team, you'll work alongside clinicians ranging from their first few years of practice to 25+ years' experience.

We don’t expect graduates to walk through the door and immediately manage a full private practice caseload.

Our structured 0–100 induction and development program is designed to progressively build your clinical skills, confidence and independence.

From day one, you’ll shadow experienced clinicians before gradually moving into treating your own clients. Your mentor will work alongside you during your first few months, providing support and feedback in real time.

Your development includes:

• Dedicated Clinical Mentors and formal mentoring sessions each week

• Built-in buffers for review, reflection and learning

• No pressure to build a full caseload in your first 6–12 months

• Monthly whole-team clinical in-services

• Peer training weekly

• Quarterly goal-setting and development sessions

• Uncapped external PD support: we’ll contribute 50% towards mutually agreed professional development, with no annual cap

Our aim isn't simply to make you busy. It's to help you become really good at what you do.

You'll work with a broad and varied caseload, primarily musculoskeletal, across our three Central Coast clinics.

We love exercise and movement and have excellent facilities for strength and rehabilitation, but we also value great assessment, clinical reasoning, communication and appropriate hands-on treatment.

You'll have exposure to MSK and sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, work and gym rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and neurological presentations, with access to technology including BFR training, radial pressure wave and Class 4 laser.

Most importantly, you'll see plenty of clients and clinical variety to help you consolidate the broad skill set needed to become an excellent private practice physio.

You don't need to know your niche when you graduate.

We'll help you build strong generalist foundations first, and if you develop a special interest, we'll support you to pursue it.

Our clinicians have developed areas of interest including women's health, dance physiotherapy, netball, TMJ, headaches and vertigo, with graduates supported to explore these areas early in their careers.

Longer term, there are pathways into advanced clinical practice, special interests, mentoring, leadership, higher earning opportunities, profit sharing and potential co-ownership.

This is a full-time Physiotherapist position, with flexibility around how your working week is structured.

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 + super

As you progress, you'll also have access to the same remuneration framework as the broader 6S clinical team, with a strong base salary and meaningful earning upside through incentives.

You'll also receive a minimum of two team days each year, structured professional development throughout your working week and genuine opportunities to progress your career.

Starting your first professional job is about more than just the clinical work.

You'll be joining a close team with plenty of younger clinicians, including several recent graduates who have been exactly where you are now, alongside experienced physios who genuinely enjoy teaching and developing the next generation.

Our clinics are located at Mingara, Ettalong Beach and Umina Beach, giving you access to some of the best of the Central Coast: beaches, bush, sport, cafés and restaurants, less traffic and more affordable housing than Sydney.

Our Mingara clinic also provides access to the Mingara One Fitness facility, aquatic centre, hydrotherapy pool and athletics facilities.
