About the role

Miniversity Early Learning Centre is seeking a Diploma Qualified Educator to join our team in Mundingburra, QLD. This is a part- or full-time position offering flexibility whilst making a meaningful impact on early childhood development. As a Diploma-Qualified Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where children thrive and develop essential skills through play and learning. Your expertise will directly contribute to our centre's mission to provide high-quality early learning experiences that support each child's individual growth and well-being.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging educational activities and play-based learning experiences that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development

• Supervise and support children during daily routines, including meals, rest times and outdoor play

• Build positive relationships with children and create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

• Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, behaviour and developmental milestones

• Work collaboratively with other educators and staff to maintain high standards of care and education

• Implement and follow relevant policies, procedures and duty of care requirements in accordance with early childhood education and care standards

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of children's learning and development

• Support children with additional needs, working with families and support services as required

• Maintain cleanliness, safety and organisation of the learning environment and equipment

• Model positive behaviour, language and social skills to encourage children's development

What we're looking for

• Diploma level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification

• Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain one

• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families and colleagues

• Understanding of child development principles and ability to implement developmentally appropriate practices

• Demonstrated commitment to creating inclusive learning environments for all children

• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced early learning environment

• Physical ability to engage in active play and supervision of children

• Experience in a childcare or early learning setting is highly valued
