We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, working 4 days per week, Monday to Friday, between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm.

Working alongside an experienced periodontal specialist, you will gain valuable exposure to advanced periodontal procedures and implant surgery, while developing your clinical and infection control skills in a highly professional environment.

You will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of clinical support, infection control and patient care. The successful applicant will be someone who is efficient, with a willingness to learn and continually develop their skills.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing chairside assistance during periodontal procedures and implant surgery
• Preparing patients, surgery and equipment for treatment
• Processing and sterilising instruments, trays and equipment in accordance with strict infection control protocols
• Maintaining accurate sterilisation and infection control records
• Ensuring clinical areas are maintained to a high standard
• Assisting with reception duties when required

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous dental assisting experience, preferably with chairside experience
• Has a Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (highly regarded)
• Has a strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures
• Is organised, reliable and has excellent attention to detail
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is confident working in a busy clinical environment
• Is a quick learner with the ability to multitask
• Takes pride in providing a high standard of patient care
• Is enthusiastic about learning and developing their skills within a specialist practice
