NRL, Cricket & Football Broadcast & Podcast Operator

FanaticsTV is one of Australia’s leading new media sports platforms, producing high-volume, high-engagement NRL, cricket & football content across YouTube, podcast and social platforms.

We’re looking for a Broadcast & Podcast Operator to help run our productions. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for sports media, digital broadcasting and podcast production who wants to grow within a fast-moving content business.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in the technical operation of our shows, ensuring productions run smoothly from start to finish. The role is heavily focused on live switching, broadcast operation and studio execution for YouTube and digital platforms.

You’ll work closely with producers, hosts and talent to deliver professional, high-quality broadcasts in a fast-paced studio environment.

You must have a minimum of 2 years experience in operating & editing vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate podcast and broadcast productions

• Run and switch shows using Blackmagic Design ATEM switchers

• Roll overlays, lower thirds, straps, intro/outro bumpers, graphics and assets on-air

• Monitor audio, video feeds and stream health during broadcasts

• Prepare studio and technical setups prior to recording

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues during productions

• Coordinate with producers and on-air talent to ensure smooth show flow

• Maintain high production and broadcast standards across all content

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Experience operating broadcasts, livestreams or podcast productions

• Strong understanding of switching workflows

• Experience using Blackmagic ATEM switchers

• Familiarity with overlays, graphics, lower thirds and broadcast assets

• Ability to remain calm and organised

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Desirable

• Passion for sport and sports media

• Strong knowledge of sport

• Experience with YouTube-first productions

• Familiarity with workflows and digital broadcasting

• Experience with OBS, vMix, Adobe Suite or similar production software
