SDN Marrickville - Educator - Full Time

SDN Marrickville is seeking an experienced, Certificate III qualified Educator to work as a float across all age groups and rooms. In this role, you will support educators throughout the centre to deliver SDN’s innovative, high quality and inclusive program for children, while building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families.

About The Role

This role will include:

• Working flexibly as a float educator across all age groups and rooms
• Supporting educators with daily routines, learning experiences and transitions across the centre
• Creating a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment.
• Supporting children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs
• Assist in the observation and evaluation of the children’s developmental needs
• Supporting routines that promote flexibility, trust, security, smooth transitions and wellbeing of the children at all times.
• Building strong respectful relationships with children and families.

 About You

• A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with full working rights
• Relevant work experience in a similar role (minimum 6 -12months essential)
• Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards
• Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid qualification
• Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs.
• Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification
