The opportunity

The EY Entity Compliance and Governance (ECG) team assists client legal departments with designing, implementing, and operating entity compliance and governance systems. The team ensures clients meet legislative and regulatory requirements and provides legal and administrative support and guidance to clients' boards of directors.

This role is based in one of our offices in Meanjin - Brisbane, Naarm - Melbourne or Warrang - Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

• Proactive support to the engagement team in the delivery of corporate compliance, entity management and company secretarial services to a portfolio of domestic and global multinational companies.
• Providing corporate compliance, entity management and company secretarial support to external clients and internal EY stakeholders, ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard and within our commercial operating model.
• This will include the preparation and completion of statutory forms, maintenance of corporate records and statutory registers, supporting legal documents and lodging documents with ASIC and other regulatory authorities.
• Through developing and maintaining strong client relationships, you will provide technical support and practical advice on corporate compliance, statutory obligations and regulatory requirements, with occasional company secretarial and board-related support as required.
• You will also have the opportunity to support the Global Subsidiary Management team, including assisting with entity management, compliance and project delivery across large-scale multinational engagements. Applying your organisational and project management skills, you will work across multiple projects and clients, both autonomously and collaboratively, leveraging EY's global network of resources.

Skills and attributes for success

• Tertiary qualifications in law, business or a related discipline. A Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance (or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
• Relevant experience providing corporate secretarial, entity management or corporate compliance services within a legal, professional services or consulting environment, with a sound understanding of the Corporations Act 2001 and ASIC compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting corporate compliance and entity management activities, including company incorporations, ASIC lodgements, company changes, share transactions, maintenance of statutory records and corporate restructures. Some exposure to board and meeting administration activities will be beneficial but is not essential.
• Experience using Diligent/Blueprint OneWorld, CAS360, GEMS or similar corporate compliance, entity management and company secretarial technology platforms.
• Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deliver excellent client service, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
