About The Role

As a Stevedore you will work with a team responsible for the loading and unloading of cargo vessels at our Fisherman Islands Terminal located in the Port of Brisbane.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To meet our customer requirements and variable shipping schedules, Stevedores must be readily available to work across all shifts and days. Our employees apply themselves to any task they are competent and able to perform, assisting their colleagues with a positive attitude and exceptional teamwork.

About You

You have a safety-minded approach to tasks and a high level of awareness of your surroundings.  You enjoy being part of a team, while willing to take responsibility for your own contributions.  Your positive attitude, capabilities and ability to be flexible in work allocation – hours, days and tasks – will facilitate your development and progression within our business.

We are seeking individuals with qualifications from a range of sectors. While not essential, qualifications in the following areas are considered desirable:

• CB – Bridge and Gantry Crane
• CP – Portal Crane
• DG – Dogman’s
• Ri – Riggers intermediate and above
• LF - Forklift
• RS – Reach Stacker
• Ships Gear Crane
• Working at Heights
• Open Drivers’ Licence
• Ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
• Ability to complete relevant Inductions
• Consent to undergo a pre-employment medical and physical assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
• Compliance with fit for work requirements.
