MCM Mechanical is growing, and we’re looking for experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our team across both FIFO Field Service and our Welshpool Component Rebuild Workshop.

We’re a WA-owned and operated mechanical business supporting the mining, civil and marine industries across Western Australia. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, looking after our people, and giving good mechanics the tools and support they need to get the job done.

1. FIFO / FIELD SERVICE HD MECHANICS

Goldfields & Pilbara | 2/1 and 8/6 Rosters

Work across a range of heavy mining equipment, carrying out breakdowns, diagnostics, repairs and planned maintenance.

Depending on placement and experience, positions may include:

• Fully equipped field service Ute

• Diagnostic laptop and tooling

• 2/1 and 8/6 roster options

• Goldfields and Pilbara opportunities

• Variety of field service, breakdown and maintenance work

2. PERTH COMPONENT REBUILD HD MECHANICS

Welshpool Workshop | Be Home Every Night

Prefer to stay in Perth?

Join our Welshpool workshop carrying out major component rebuilds and mechanical repairs.

We can offer flexibility around your roster:

• 5/2 – Monday to Friday

• 4/3 – Monday to Thursday

• No FIFO

• No living away from home

• Component rebuild and major repair work

• Stable Perth-based position

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need:

• Australian-recognised Heavy-Duty Diesel / Mobile Plant trade qualification

• Minimum 1–2 years post-trade experience

• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills

• Experience working on heavy mining or earthmoving equipment

• Experience with CAT, Liebherr, Hitachi and/or Komatsu equipment highly regarded

• Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance

• Valid Australian working rights

• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team

• A practical, reliable and positive attitude

For our Perth workshop positions, previous component rebuild experience is highly regarded.
