Funding Superstar!

As the Funding & Partnerships Specialist (Grants & Tenders), you will identify, develop and secure funding opportunities that support HOPE's strategic priorities, organisational growth and long-term sustainability.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, you'll lead the preparation of compelling grant applications, tenders and funding proposals across government, corporate and philanthropic sectors. You'll also build strong relationships with funders and partners, helping to grow services that make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, families and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, research and assess grant, tender and funding opportunities that align with HOPE's strategic priorities.
• Lead the development and submission of high-quality, evidence-based grant applications, tenders and funding proposals.
• Collaborate with operational teams and key stakeholders to develop compelling submissions supported by robust budgets and service information.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, philanthropic organisations, corporate partners and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate the end-to-end administration of grants and tenders, ensuring submissions meet funding requirements and deadlines.
• Prepare funding acquittals, progress reports and contractual reporting as required.
• Monitor funding opportunities, maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent HOPE at networking events and identify opportunities to develop strategic partnerships that support organisational growth.

• Proven experience in grant writing, tender development, fundraising or funding proposal development within the not-for-profit, community or related sector.
• Three to five years' experience in a comparable funding, grants or tender development role.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into persuasive funding submissions.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and meeting competing deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience preparing project budgets.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, networking and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Understanding of Australian grant funding mechanisms and philanthropic funding, including knowledge of Philanthropy Australia principles and practices.

• Current National Police Clearance (within three months).
• Current C or A Class Driver's Licence.
• Department of Justice Clearance. 
• Current Working with Children Check.
