At earLAB, our mission is simple: to help people hear better, communicate better and live their best possible life.Founded in 2018, earLAB is an independent private audiology and ear health practice with clinics in Richmond and Footscray, Melbourne.We're looking for an experienced Audiologist to join our supportive team in a Full-Time capacity.This is a clinical role for someone who values professional independence, patient-centred care and having a genuine say in the clinic where they work.

You'll be encouraged to contribute to:Improving clinical procedures and patient pathwaysDeveloping new services and areas of expertiseClinical discussions and complex casesConsultation and communication skillsCommunity and workplace hearing initiativesResearch, evidence-based practice and professional development
The Clinical RoleYou'll be expected to confidently manage a broad audiology caseload, including:Comprehensive hearing assessments, otoscopy and diagnosticsSpeech and speech-in-noise assessmentHearing aid selection, fitting, programming and follow-upReal-ear measurement and verificationRehabilitation counselling and shared decision-makingDVA, HSP, Workcover and private-funded servicesTinnitus managementTroubleshooting and complex rehabilitationClinical documentation and risk managementChallenging patient conversations and appropriate referralsMusicians, performers and sound engineersDefence and industry clientsPeople working in high-noise environmentsCustom hearing protectionCustom in-ear monitors (CIEMs)Workplace hearing conservationEar health and microsuction
We also provide aural microsuction and ear wax management. Experience is valuable, but training can be provided. As the exclusive ACS Custom distributor in Australia and New Zealand, we provide an opportunity to develop specialised skills in custom hearing protection and in-ear monitors that aren't available in every audiology practice.
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Clinically capable and confidentWarm, authentic and a strong communicatorPatient-centred and clinically principledComfortable working independentlyCollaborative and willing to contribute ideasCurious and committed to ongoing developmentCommercially aware without compromising clinical judgementApproximately 3–5 years' clinical experience would be ideal, but we're more interested in your competence, clinical maturity and fit with our team than an arbitrary number of years.You'll need:A recognised tertiary qualification in AudiologyCurrent Audiology Australia membership or equivalentCurrent Clinical Certificate of Practice (QP number)Hearing Services Program accreditationExperience managing adult rehabilitation patientsCompetence with hearing aid fitting, programming and REMStrong counselling and communication skillsExperience in tinnitus, DVA, microsuction, custom hearing protection, CIEMs, hearing conservation or advanced rehabilitation counselling would be highly regarded.
