About the role
We’re looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor to run day-to-day site operations and support project delivery across commercial and light industrial electrical works. This role suits a motivated electrical supervisor ready to step up into partial project management.
About the roleSupervise electricians and subcontractors on site, coordinate daily tasks, and keep productivity on track.
Run pre-starts/toolbox talks, maintain SWMS/JSA compliance, and actively manage hazards and site housekeeping in line with WHS requirements.
Liaise with builders, clients, and other trades to resolve clashes and keep work fronts moving.
Read and interpret drawings/specifications, mark up changes, and help maintain accurate as-built records.
Plan short-term works (2–6 week lookaheads), coordinate access/permits, and schedule inspections/testing.
Assist the Project Manager with procurement, RFIs, variations, progress claims, and basic cost tracking.
Track labour/materials daily, maintain site diaries, and provide clear progress reporting.
Support commissioning, testing, QA checks, and final handover documentation.
Electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence (or ability to obtain/maintain in your state).
Proven experience supervising crews on commercial/industrial electrical sites.
Strong working knowledge of electrical safety and WHS obligations, including managing electrical risks, inspections/testing where required, and safe systems of work.
Ability to interpret drawings, plan work, and coordinate multiple trades and stakeholders.
Confident communication—able to lead on site and report clearly to the Project Manager.
Current driver’s licence.
Intermediate computer skills (Outlook/Excel) and willingness to use job management software.
Cert IV in Project Management Practice (or working towards) / demonstrated exposure to PM tasks.
First Aid/CPR, Working at Heights, EWP, and other relevant site tickets.
Experience with QA documentation, commissioning and handover packs.
Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or estimating for electrical projects.
Full-time role with a stable pipeline of work.
Clear pathway into Project Management with mentoring and support.
