About the role
PC Health Club Mulgrave | Mulgrave, VIC
Casual | Approx. 20–22 hours available
PC Health Club Mulgrave is a semi-private strength coaching facility working with a diverse member base aged 9 to 82.
We’re looking for 1–2 experienced and enthusiastic coaches to join our team, with approximately 20–22 hours available across the roles and potential for additional hours.
Monday: 5:50am–8:50am | 4:25pm–7:25pm
Tuesday: 4:25pm–7:25pm
Wednesday: 6:00am–11:00am | 5:10pm–8:10pm
Thursday: 5:50am–8:50am
Friday: 5:50am–8:50am | 5:15pm–7:15pm
You don't need to be available for every shift. Hours can be divided between successful candidates based on availability and experience.
This isn't a standard gym-floor or group fitness role. Our members follow individualised strength programs designed around their goals, training history, ability and limitations.
A key part of this role is being able to write, progress and modify individualised strength programs for a wide range of members.
You’ll work alongside 2–3 coaches and be responsible for:
Writing individualised strength training programs
Reviewing and progressing members' programs
Coaching multiple members in a semi-private environment
Teaching and correcting exercise technique
Understanding individual goals, abilities and limitations
Modifying exercises and programs when required
Providing excellent customer service and member support
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience writing individualised strength programs
Has a strong understanding of exercise selection, progression and programming
Is passionate about strength and resistance training
Can confidently coach different ages and ability levels
Is proactive, personable and reliable
Is comfortable coaching multiple members at once
Is a strong communicator and team player
Certificate III & IV in Fitness or an equivalent Strength & Conditioning / Exercise Science qualification. Current First Aid and CPR are highly regarded.
You'll join a supportive coaching team with a strong community of long-term members and the opportunity to develop as a coach, take ownership of member programming and grow into additional hours and responsibilities.
