About the role
This is not a cleaning role.
This is the role that checks standards and makes sure no job is ever missed. You will not be scheduled to clean.
Standards do not hold themselves. This role walks the sites, checks the work, and stays in regular contact with our cleaners so our clients stay happy. It is the most important position Divine will hire this year.
Divine Commercial Cleaning is a family-owned business that has looked after Sunshine Coast and Brisbane businesses since 2017 — medical and dental practices, offices, childcare centres, gyms, body corporate buildings and shopping centres. We are growing, and this is a brand new role.
The role
You are Divine on the ground. Our cleaners are experienced subcontractors who work alone across a lot of different sites, and our admin team supports them from the office. You are the one who goes out to the sites.
What your week looks like
• Out on the road across Sunshine Coast client sites, with some travel to the Brisbane corridor.
• Walking new sites with the cleaner before the first clean, so nobody starts a job guessing.
• A formal review of every site every 90 days — written up while you are standing in the building and published straight to the client’s portal.
• Quality checks against each site’s task list in between, with photos and a short written record.
• Being the phone contact when a cleaner hits a problem on site — access, equipment, or something unexpected.
• Interviewing new cleaners and setting them up on their first day, in a single sitting.
• Keys, fobs and codes — making sure they end up where they need to be when a site changes hands.
• Attending site when a client raises a concern, and making sure the fix genuinely happens.
• Body corporate site reports, and a weekly report to the Director on what you are seeing out there.
• A couple of hours a week of admin from your home office, tying it all together.
How the role is measured
Two numbers matter more than the rest: zero missed cleans, and cleaner retention. You get the full standard in writing on day one — we would rather hand it to you than surprise you with it at a review.
This role has KPIs to meet. They are clear, measurable and given to you up front, so you always know exactly what a good week looks like.
What we are looking for
• Based on the Sunshine Coast, with a current licence, a reliable car and comprehensive insurance.
• Organised, and trustworthy with client keys and access to other people’s premises.
• Calm under pressure. When a cleaner is locked out or a client is frustrated, you are the steady one.
• Able to communicate on all levels, from the cleaner to the client — able to write a short, clear site note that someone else can act on, and just as clear on the phone.
• Comfortable on a phone and laptop — apps, photos, email, simple reports. We use Zoho, but we will teach you that.
• A home office. Part of this role is administration done from home, so you must be able to show us you have a suitable set-up.
• Genuinely flexible. These are not set hours — the 20 hours are spread across the week and shift with what the sites need, including some early mornings or evenings around client access windows.
• Contactable for the occasional 5 to 30 minutes on a weekend if something goes wrong at a site. Do the job well through the week and weekend disruption stays rare — that is largely within your control.
• Someone who takes initiative. This role carries real autonomy and very little supervision — we want the person who acts on what they see rather than waiting to be asked.
• Commercial cleaning, facilities, trades supervision or field service experience is a real advantage, though we care more about reliability and judgement than a specific background.
What you get from us
• $42 per hour plus superannuation, and your kilometres reimbursed at the ATO rate — comfortably above the industry award rate for a supervisor.
• 20 hours per week, permanent part-time, with genuine potential to grow. Travel between sites is paid time.
• Hours generally between 6:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, planned with you a week ahead — flexible rather than fixed.
• Phone and laptop provided.
• A hybrid role — on the road, with home-office admin. No commute to an office that does not exist.
• Direct access to the Director. No layers, no committees, and your ideas actually get used.
• A real growth story. This is the role Divine repeats in every new city as we expand into Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Training and start date
The role starts Monday 21 September 2026.
Your first two weeks are training in our Birtinya office — 11:00am to 2:00pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, which is 12 hours a week. You need to be available for all of it.
After that you work from home and on the road, and the hours move to the flexible pattern described above.
