Details: Are you an experienced regulatory leader with a strong background in investigations, compliance, enforcement, and administrative decision-making?
Education and Care Regulation and Support (ECRS) is seeking a highly capable Director, Compliance and Investigations to lead a specialist team responsible for delivering high-quality regulatory outcomes across the ACT's education and care and non-government school sectors. This leadership role oversees complex investigations, compliance activities, and enforcement action under a range of legislative frameworks.
The role requires strong leadership capability, sound judgement, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated expertise in investigations, compliance, and regulatory decision-making. Experience leading teams, managing complex operational workloads, and working within legislative and administrative law frameworks will be highly regarded.

Eligibility/Other Requirements
Diploma or Tertiary qualification (or combination) in investigation and/or law is highly desirable.Experience in leading and developing an investigation team is highly desirable.This position requires:A current driver’s licenceThe ability to be approved and operate as an Authorised Person under section 67 of the Education Act 2004 and the ability to be approved and operate as an Authorised Officer under section 195 of the Education and Care Services National Law (ACT).Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Note: A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
