Financial Accountant

About the role

CIS is seeking a reliable and commercially minded Financial Accountant to take ownership of the company's day-to-day financial accounting and to support the leadership team with accurate reporting and financial controls. The Financial Accountant is responsible for managing the accounting operations of the business, ensuring accurate accounting records, maintaining strong financial controls, and providing timely financial information to support monthly reporting and decision-making. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced finance professional who is comfortable working across all financial aspects of a small to medium-sized business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger

• Prepare payroll and related returns

• Manage insurance

• Process cash receipts

• Process staff expenses

• Review WIP and job costing

• Prepare monthly and year end reporting
