Business Transformation Lead, Casual Workforce Planning

About the role

As the Business Transformation Lead - Casual Workforce Planning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of casual workforce planning at RMIT throughout the design and delivery of the START (Strategic Transformation Academic Resourcing and Timetabling) Program, Pillar Two.


You will lead the transformation of casual workforce planning processes, including rostering, time capture, payment assurance and related business activities. Working across the university, you will help design future-state processes, systems and ways of working that improve efficiency, strengthen assurance and deliver meaningful business outcomes.


Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary business representative and subject matter expert for casual workforce planning across RMIT.
  
• Lead the business design of future-state processes, including process alignment and improvement.
  
• Partner with workforce planning specialists across colleges, People and Culture and the broader START project team.
  
• Work closely with the project team and technology vendor to translate business requirements into effective system design and configuration decisions.
  
• Identify and assess impacts of proposed changes across people, processes and systems.
  
• Lead business readiness activities to support successful adoption of new ways of working.
  
• Provide clear leadership, direction and advice throughout the transformation journey.
  
• Support the delivery of improved rostering, time capture and payment assurance processes.

About you


You are an experienced transformation or business process professional with a strong understanding of workforce planning and the complexities of working across a large, diverse organisation. You can connect strategic objectives with practical business requirements and confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.


You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading business transformation, process design, or systems implementation initiatives. Prior experience with either Time Edit / Nimbus/ JDR / Simitive/ UKG time and attendance highly desirable.
  
• Knowledge of casual workforce planning, rostering, time capture, or payment assurance processes.
  
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  
• Experience translating business needs into system requirements and configuration outcomes.
  
• Proven ability to lead change impact assessment and business readiness activities.
  
• A collaborative, analytical and outcomes-focused approach.
