Hampton Veterinary Clinic (HVC) is expanding and currently have an opportunity for a Vet Nurse/Receptionist to join our team in Bayside VIC. The practice provides exceptional and professional veterinary care to pets and their owners. We have a strong reputation among a loyal client base for providing high standards of care and treatment and excellent customer service.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Full Time or Part Time Veterinary Nurse/Receptionist with a minimum of 2+ years in a small animal veterinary medicine practice to join our small but enthusiastic team.

The Role  

• Assist our Vets with routine examinations

• Surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anaesthetics

• Pre and post operative patient care including grief support to clients

• Prepare and administers medications as required

• Admission and discharge of hospital and surgical cases

• Communicate treatment plans to clients

• Blood collection and testing, iv catheter placement

• Assist with x-rays and ultrasounds

• Assist with dental scale and polish of dental patients

• Sterilization of instruments according to practice sterilization procedures

• General reception duties

• General day to day nursing duties to support our Vets and working with your team members to ensure the highest patient care

• General cleaning duties to help make the clinic sparkle
