About the role
Swann is an established Australian consumer security company headquartered in Melbourne. We provide security cameras and smart home security solutions through major retail and e-commerce channels across Australia.
Our Melbourne office is the core of our Australian operations, bringing together finance, sales, marketing, supply chain and other corporate functions. The team also works closely with our international operations across North America and Europe.
About the role
This role will support a range of legal, compliance and corporate activities, with a particular focus on trademark and intellectual property administration. It is suitable for a law graduate or an early-career candidate looking to gain broad practical experience in an in-house corporate environment.
Key responsibilities
Assist with trademark registrations, renewals and maintenance of intellectual property records
Maintain legal documents, registers and key compliance records
Assist with the review and administration of contracts and other legal documents
Conduct basic legal and regulatory research
Assist with company policies, procedures and internal control documentation
Support employment-related documentation and general HR compliance matters
Assist with general corporate administration and cross-functional projects
Provide coordination support for selected marketing and other business activities as required
About you
Degree in Law or a related legal discipline
Recent graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good research, analytical and organisational skills
High attention to detail
Proactive and willing to learn
Comfortable working across different areas of the business
Able to manage multiple tasks and follow matters through to completion
Previous legal, compliance, intellectual property or corporate experience would be advantageous but is not essential
