1st Year Apprentice Plumber

Highrise Mechanical Air Conditioning is an established commercial HVAC contractor delivering projects throughout Melbourne and Adelaide. We work across a range of commercial construction projects, providing mechanical services installations from concept through to commissioning.

We're known for quality workmanship, strong client relationships and getting projects delivered properly. With continued growth and a solid pipeline of work ahead, we're looking for a 1st Year Apprentice Plumber to join our growing team and learn from experienced tradespeople across commercial and high-rise projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting out in the plumbing trade who is keen to learn, work hard and build a long-term career.

As a 1st Year Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced plumbers and tradespeople, gaining practical experience across commercial construction sites while completing your formal apprenticeship.

You'll be involved in:

• Assisting with plumbing and mechanical services installations

• Working across commercial and high-rise construction projects

• Learning to install pipework, drainage and associated services

• Assisting tradespeople with day-to-day tasks on site

• Learning to read and understand plans and drawings

• Using hand and power tools safely

• Assisting with testing and commissioning

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

• Following site safety requirements and instructions

• Building your practical skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship

We're looking for someone who is:

• A genuine 1st Year Plumbing Apprentice, or ready to commence their apprenticeship

• Keen to learn and develop a career in plumbing

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Hands-on and practically minded

• Comfortable working on construction sites

• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team

• Safety-conscious and willing to learn

• Positive and professional in their approach

• Proud of their work and willing to have a go

No previous plumbing experience is required — we're more interested in your attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.

Any previous construction, trade, labouring or hands-on experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
