About the program
ACSO's Men's Reintegration Service program is a state-wide program delivering re-entry services to people in prison and the community in partnership with Queensland Corrective Service (QCS). The program provides support in collaboration with the client and focusing on resolving any barriers pertaining to their return to the community, the service will also promote a successful reintegration journey. The service delivery model comprises of intense pre-release support, throughcare post-release support for up to six months, and after-hours services, to achieve successful outcomes for the people we support.
About the position
Our Forensic Case Workers are responsible for delivering pre and post release support to their allocated clients, facilitating group sessions and working intensively with prisons, courts and where applicable, with community corrections, to successfully reintegrate clients. The Forensic Case Worker will be responsible for record keeping (including data entry and case-noting) and providing assertive outreach and interventions to at-risk and vulnerable cohorts.
What we're looking for
People with transferable skills and who are looking for a new opportunity to develop within the community services sector.
You will also have/be:
Significant relevant experience undertaking;
An extensive background working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people will be highly regarded.
