About the role
Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. With an enrolment of 3,400 students from ECLC to Year 12, it comprises three metropolitan campuses in Melbourne, at St Kilda Road, Glen Waverley and Elsternwick, outdoor education sites at Chum Creek, Mallana and Lochend, and a Year 9 residential campus at Clunes.
Applications are invited from innovative and engaging leaders for the position of Head of Individual Needs (P-6) at the St Kilda Road Campus. This is a full-time, ongoing teaching position with a 3-year position of responsibility including a 0.32 FTE time release and a 0.68 FTE teaching load. This position is commencing at the start of the 2027 school year.
The Head of Individual Needs (ECLC–Year 6) leads the delivery and development of inclusive education programs across the Junior School. Working closely with campus leaders and teachers, the role oversees student support, intervention programs, curriculum access, government funding requirements, and adjustments for students with additional learning needs.
This leadership position also manages the Individual Needs team, supports staff through professional learning, and collaborates with teachers and families to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their potential.
