Refrigeration Mechanic

We are seeking skilled Refrigeration Mechanics to fill a full-time positions based in Cairns. The successful applicant will be exposed to a wide variety of breakdowns, service, maintenance and installation scenarios for both air conditioning and refrigeration for a wide variety of customers across the Cairns region.

We're looking for candidates who:

• Holds a trade certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and mandatory associated licences.

• Has the ability to perform installations, breakdowns and preventative maintenance.

• Has experience in diagnosis and fault finding and the ability to troubleshoot issues.

• Has great communication skills and a positive attitude.

• Displays a positive commitment to maintaining detailed records of work.

• Can maintain and improve OH&S and overall operational standards in the workplace.

• Is reliable, punctual and able to work autonomously with the ability to work well in a team environment.

• Has good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

• Is willing to learn new processes.

• has knowledge of and the ability to adhere to all legislation and codes of practice applicable to your role.

• has the ability to apply safe work practices in accordance with company policy.

• Is willing to work outside of normal work hours if requested and be available for the on-call roster.

• The ability to follow direction.

Must haves:

• QBCC trade licence

• ARCtick licence

• Restricted Electrical licence

• Current Australian open manual drivers licence
