Plant Operator

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to learn our plant operations at our Floor Coatings division in Minto with the long-term objective of leading our production team, organising production scheduling, and coordinating stock management. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production processes, maintain equipment, and adhere to safety standards. This role is crucial for optimising plant performance and requires attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to prevent breakdowns.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Record production data and report any discrepancies to management.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in plant operations is preferred.
• Proven experience as a plant operator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of plant operations and machinery.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in plant operations.
