Solar A-Grade Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solar A-Grade Electrician and we are seeking a Solar Apprentice to join the team at Hasenergy in Springvale, Victoria. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on innovative solar energy installations and maintenance projects. As a Solar A-Grade Electrician/ Solar Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical work on solar PV systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards. This role is integral to supporting Hasenergy's mission to provide sustainable energy solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair residential and commercial solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, batteries and associated electrical components

• Perform electrical wiring, connections and safety testing on residential, commercial and industrial solar installations

• Conduct thorough fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance

• Comply with all relevant electrical safety standards, codes and regulations, including the National Electrical Code and state-specific requirements

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and electrical schematics to accurately plan and execute installations

• Test and inspect completed installations using appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools

• Provide technical support and maintenance to clients, ensuring systems operate at peak efficiency

• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all work completed

• Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors and clients to ensure project success

• Adhere to health and safety protocols on all job sites

What we're looking for

A-Grade Electrician:

• Current A-Grade Electrician licence SAA or CEC lisence issued by the relevant Victorian regulatory body

• Extensive experience in solar PV system installation, maintenance and repair

• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design and safety standards specific to solar installations

• Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

• Strong understanding of inverters, battery storage systems and grid-connection requirements

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics

• Valid driver's licence

• Full working rights in Australia

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Commitment to health and safety best practices

• Desirable: Experience with battery storage systems, smart home integration or commercial-scale solar projects

Electrical Apprentice:

• A minimum of 2-4 years experience in solar electrical installs

• Foundational knowledge in solar PV system installation, maintenance and repair

• Moderate knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design and safety standards specific to solar installations

• Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

• A basic understanding of inverters, battery storage systems and grid-connection requirements

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics

• Valid driver's licence

• Full working rights in Australia

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Commitment to health and safety best practices

• Desirable: Experience with battery storage systems, smart home integration or commercial-scale solar projects
