Parts Store person- 4WD Central

The Opportunity

An exciting position has become available within the 4WD Central team for a parts store person with immediate start.

We are looking for a motivated individual, who is looking to start a career in the Automotive Industry or have experience in a similar role.  You will have a strong work ethic, great interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for assisting the day-to-day functions involved in the warehousing and storage of parts and accessories.

Key Job Function & Accountabilities

The Parts Store person carries out a range of duties related to warehousing and storage of parts and accessories, including but not limited to;

• Identifying automotive parts and components

• Receiving and unpacking of stock in a timely manner

• Carrying out storage and stock control procedures

• Material handling

• Inputting stock into stock management system

• Picking, locating and charging parts orders for external and internal guests

• Organising outgoing freight with external transport companies and updating all freight records in a timely manner 

• Organization of damage claims and credit returns

• Assisting team members within the department to complete necessary daily tasks

• Take part in virtual and face-to-face training when requested by management

• Maintain a presentable, safe and healthy workplace in accordance with our standards

• Building and maintaining Guest loyalty and support

Required Skills / Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum 1-year experience in a warehouse/storage environment

• Sound computer skills

• Having a “guest first” approach to all tasks 

• Good communication skills

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience

• Qualifications in Warehousing and Storage

• Forklift Licence

• Knowledge of automotive industry
