Payroll Outsourcing Manager (AU & NZ Payroll)

We are a well-known global payroll outsourcing vendor looking for a decent Payroll Outsourcing Manager to join our business servicing team based in Australia. Details will be shared to shortlisted candidates.

Job Description:

• Oversee payroll services for a variety of Australia and New Zealand clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Manage daily office operations, including internal payroll, administrative functions, and reporting requirements.

• Lead and manage a diverse team of payroll specialists to meet quality and deadline expectations.

• Review team outputs, including payroll calculations, social security contributions, billing, invoicing, and year-end tax adjustments.

• Drive operational excellence and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

• Serve as the escalation point for resolving complex payroll issues and providing expert advice.

• Ensure internal payroll processes are seamless and efficient.

• Collaborate with stakeholders through monthly governance and reporting.

• Work closely with global teams on new client onboarding projects.

• Handle ad hoc duties and special projects as assigned.

We’re Looking for:

• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on payroll experience from a global payroll outsourcing/ consulting environment.

• Proven track record of managing AU + NZ payroll outsourcing and providing end-to-end payroll services for clients.

• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced environment

• Strong knowledge and professionalism in labor laws, payroll, and statutory compliance.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving payroll and operational challenges.

• Proficiency in measuring and improving process metrics for enhanced efficiency and transparency.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, with fluency in English.
