About the role
Behaviour Support Practitioner | Contractor | Central Coast NSW
JNM Supports | Flexible Contract | $90–$130/hr
Are you an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner looking for the freedom of contracting — without feeling like you're going it alone?
JNM Supports is a values-driven behaviour support provider on the Central Coast, and we're growing our team of contractors. We offer the flexibility and autonomy of independent contracting, backed by real clinical support, a collaborative team culture, and established systems and resources to support your clinical work.
About the Role
This is a flexible, work-from-home contracting arrangement suited to experienced practitioners who are ready to manage their own caseload and schedule. You'll work directly with NDIS participants and their support networks to deliver high-quality, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
Developing person-centred, NDIS-compliant Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
Providing training and guidance to participants’ care teams
Collecting, analysing, and using data to monitor and adjust behaviour support strategies
Collaborating with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
What We Offer
We know that contractors often miss out on the support that comes with being part of a team. At JNM Supports, we've built an environment where you get the best of both worlds:
Competitive rate — $90–$130 per hour (depending on experience)
True flexibility — manage your own caseload, set your own schedule, work from home
Halaxy practice management system — for client files, scheduling, and case notes (full training provided)
Practitioner resource library — templates, forms, assessments, and tools ready to use
In-house supervision and compliance support — so you're never navigating complex cases alone
Regular team meetings and professional development — stay connected and keep growing
About You
You're a motivated, ethical practitioner who takes pride in delivering quality behaviour support. You work well autonomously but value collaboration and clinical oversight.
You will have:
Current NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
A degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Welfare, Behavioural Science, or a related field
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core level or above)
Demonstrated experience writing NDIS-compliant Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
Sound knowledge of restrictive practices and relevant legislative requirements
Strong ability to manage a complex caseload and prioritise effectively
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A genuine commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and measuring clinical outcomes
A proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to grow
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must hold or be willing to obtain:
Australian Business Number (ABN)
