Peuker & Alexander are a leader in the supply of prefabricated timber wall frames and trusses to Victoria’s building industry.

We are currently looking for a Work Health and Safety Officer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for the right person!

Responsibilities:

Tasks and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Maintain WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices

• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice

• Weekly inspections of the Campbellfield and Dandenong South plants

• Monitor use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures

• Assist with incident reporting at the production plants or on building sites

• Maintain WHS registers, training records and documentation

• Assist with return-to-work programs

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:

• Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)

• Proven experience in a similar role

• Experience in a construction, manufacturing, logistics and/or carpentry company (desirable but not essential)

• Strong knowledge of the relevant WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice

• Ability to work independently and travel between work sites

• High level competency with computer software systems, particularly Microsoft Office applications
