Details: The Digital Canberra (DCBR) CIT ICT team administers the business systems that support the administrative and operational functions of the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT).

In this role, you will provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for the Student Information Management System (Banner). You will be responsible for maintaining system configurations and customisations, developing enhancements and integrations, and investigating and resolving technical incidents to ensure the ongoing reliability and performance of the application.

Working collaboratively with the Banner Support team and business stakeholders, you will deliver high-quality support and contribute to the continuous improvement of critical student administration systems.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

• You should be highly experienced with contemporary web development languages, Java/Java Enterprise, JavaScript, Spring Framework, PL/SQL and Linux-based server hosting environments. Experience in Apache Tomcat and the Banner suite of applications is highly desirable.
• You should also be proficient in software configuration management using version control tools such as Git.
• This position requires the occupant to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times. Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
