About the role
Pittwater House is an innovative independent P–12 school on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Our unique Twin Schooling model combines single-gender classes from Grade 2–10 with a co-educational senior school in Years 11–12. We are committed to high expectations, explicit teaching, and the wellbeing and growth of every student.
Pittwater House is seeking a temporary, part-time Languages Teacher for Term 4, 2026. This is a 0.6 FTE maternity leave position, working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The preferred candidate will be able to teach French and Mandarin from Years 4 to 10. Applicants should be innovative educators who demonstrate strong lesson planning, effective student engagement, and sound knowledge of the NESA curriculum. Experience teaching in NSW is preferred.
All staff contribute to the School’s pastoral care and co-curricular programs. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in pastoral care, camps and co-curricular activities as required. Please note that there is no Saturday sport commitment.

Reference checking will be a part of the process for the successful applicant. For teachers coming from another school, it is expected that at least one referee will be a member of the school senior executive team.
