About the role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious manufacturing or operational leader ready to take on broader leadership responsibility within one of Australia’s most respected engineering and manufacturing businesses.
Reporting to the divisional CEO, the Head of Operations will lead the performance, safety and continuous improvement of a significant regional, multi-site manufacturing operation, with responsibility across Manufacturing, HSE, Quality, Plant & Facilities and Process Engineering.
The role will drive day-to-day operational excellence, ensuring production plans are achieved, quality and safety standards are maintained and continuous improvement is embedded across the facility. Just as importantly, you will lead and develop a capable team, building accountability, collaboration and a high-performance culture.
We are open-minded as to what the successful candidate looks like. You may already be operating at Head of Operations level, or you could be a high-performing Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Plant Manager or similar who is ready for the next significant step in your career.
What will matter is your technical credibility, leadership capability and track record of improving performance within a sophisticated manufacturing environment. You will be hands-on, commercially aware and comfortable operating close to the factory floor, while demonstrating the potential to grow into a broader strategic leadership role. A curious nature with a passion for operational efficiency is key to success.

Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or .
Strong operational leadership experience within heavy, precision or advanced manufacturing.
Experience leading teams and driving performance across safety, quality, production and continuous improvement.
Exposure to progressive manufacturing environments incorporating automation, robotics or advanced manufacturing technology.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of operational budgets and cost drivers.
Working knowledge of relevant quality, safety and environmental management systems.
Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing, process optimisation and performance improvement.
Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative, decisive leadership style.
