General Manager Project Delivery

As Zenith continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced General Manager – Project Delivery to lead the delivery of our expanding portfolio of complex renewable hybrid energy projects.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, as General Manager – Project Delivery, you will be accountable for the safe, commercially disciplined and effective delivery of Zenith’s projects from project award through construction, commissioning, operational readiness and handover to the Operations team.

You will lead Zenith’s Project Delivery function, including Project Management, Project Controls, and Commercial and Procurement. You will ensure projects are appropriately planned, resourced and governed, and delivered in accordance with approved scope, budget, schedule, quality, contractual and risk requirements.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for strengthening Zenith’s project delivery capability as the business prepares to deliver multiple major projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and effective delivery of Zenith’s capital projects portfolio.
• Lead, develop and build the capability of a multidisciplinary Project Delivery team.
• Establish project delivery strategies, priorities, governance frameworks and execution plans.
• Oversee project performance against approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety and contractual requirements.
• Manage the transition of projects from award into delivery, commissioning, operational readiness and handover.
• Ensure project risks, issues, dependencies and changes are identified, assessed and effectively managed.
• Maintain strong commercial and contractual discipline across supplier and contractor engagements.
• Provide delivery input into bids, project development activities and investment decisions.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Health and Safety, Finance, Legal and other internal stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
• Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on project performance, risks, forecasts and delivery outcomes.

About You

You are likely an experienced Project Manager /Project Director with responsibility for multiple high-value projects, with a strong track record leading the construction and delivery of a large, multidisciplinary project.

You will likely have developed your experience within an engineering, construction, EPC or specialist services contractor, with direct accountability for project execution and delivery.

Your experience will ideally have been gained across complex infrastructure, power, energy, mining or industrial projects.

• Leadership experience in remote project delivery, construction or major capital projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects, or a major multidisciplinary project, through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial acumen.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across project management, project controls, commercial and procurement functions.
• A strong understanding of project governance, risk management, scheduling, cost control and contractor management.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and decision-making capability.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, project management or a related discipline.
