About the role
Sunstate Truck Group is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician with Auto Electrical Experience to join our growing team on a full-time basis at our modern Wellcamp facility.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new and progressive dealership representing the rapidly expanding Sitrak truck brand. Working within our workshop, you'll play a key role in the pre-delivery, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of Sitrak trucks and a variety of other branded heavy vehicles.
This hands-on role offers a diverse mix of pre-delivery, mechanical and electrical work, allowing you to utilise your skills across a broad range of heavy vehicle systems while working alongside a supportive team.

Perform diagnostic testing, fault finding and repairs on heavy vehicles, including trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles.
Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and commissioning of new Sitrak vehicles.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using specialised diagnostic equipment.
Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance to manufacturer standards.
Test, repair and replace alternators, starters, batteries, wiring systems and other electrical components.
Read and interpret service manuals, technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Accurately record repairs, parts usage and labour details through workshop systems.
Work collaboratively with technicians, parts personnel and service advisors to achieve workshop targets.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workspace.
Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician, Automotive Electrical or equivalent trade qualification.
Previous experience working within a heavy vehicle, transport or commercial workshop environment.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience using modern diagnostic and scan tools.
The ability to read and interpret technical documentation and wiring schematics.
A high standard of workmanship and strong attention to detail.
A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A current driver's licence (HR licence preferred but not essential).
A commitment to workplace safety and delivering quality outcomes for customers.
