Regional Manager - Retail Cleaning

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager – Retail Cleaning to lead the operational, commercial and people performance of a portfolio of retail and shopping centre cleaning sites. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong client relationships, workforce performance, safety compliance and positive financial outcomes across the region. You will lead and support Cleaning Supervisors and site-based teams while working closely with clients, centre management and internal stakeholders to deliver consistent, customer-focused service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cleaning operations across an allocated regional portfolio.

• Ensure services are delivered in accordance with contracts, specifications, rosters and procedures.

• Conduct regular site visits, inspections and operational reviews.

• Monitor cleaning standards, productivity, presentation and site performance.

• Identify service gaps, operational risks and improvement opportunities.

• Manage client relationships and act as the operational escalation point.

• Attend client meetings, performance reviews and service discussions.

• Lead, coach and develop Cleaning Supervisors and site teams.

• Ensure appropriate staffing, attendance, workforce coverage and performance.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and workforce planning.

About you

• Minimum 5 years experience in a cleaning or facilities management.

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple sites, contracts and large workforces.

• Strong people leadership skills, including performance, attendance and conduct management.

• Experience managing budgets, labour costs, productivity and operational performance.

• Strong client and stakeholder management capability.

• Demonstrated knowledge of WHS, risk management, incident management and compliance.

• Experience conducting audits, inspections and implementing corrective actions.

• An understanding of contractual requirements, service standards and SLAs.

• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, communication and decision-making skills.

• A current driver's licence and the ability to travel between multiple sites.
