This is an exciting opportunity to work across contract management, compliance, procurement, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement — with plenty of variety and the chance to make a tangible difference.
Reporting to the Manager Waste Services, you will play a key role in supporting the effective administration, compliance and performance of waste
services contracts across the City. You’ll work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and the community to ensure contracts are well managed, obligations are
met and services continue to deliver great outcomes for residents. From managing contract processes and investigating issues through
to supporting procurement, compliance and business improvement, this role offers the opportunity to make your mark across a broad range of activities.

About
you
You’re a
highly organised, customer-focused professional
who enjoys solving problems, working with people and keeping things
moving.
You take pride in getting the details right, while also being able
to see the bigger picture. You’re adaptable, confident working with
a range of stakeholders and comfortable taking on new
challenges.
To be
successful, you will have:
• A
qualification, or be working towards a qualification, in a relevant
discipline such as Procurement and Contracts Management, or
equivalent relevant experience.
•
Knowledge of procurement and contract management principles
and practices.
•
Experience using contract management systems — Open
Windows experience will be highly regarded.
•
Demonstrated ability to use information systems and
technology effectively for contract administration, reporting and
record management.
•
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage
competing priorities and deadlines.
•
Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving
skills.
•
Well-developed research, analysis, negotiation and
influencing skills.
•
Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety
principles.
