Swimming Pool Resurfacer

About the role

We are seeking a Swimming Pool Resurfacer to join our team at Young Pools refurbishment in Canberra, ACT. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for resurfacing and refinishing swimming pools to a high standard, ensuring they are restored to their original condition and ready for use. All training will be provided. Must be prepared to travel as some of our work is Rural NSW.

Monthly travel to Rural NSW will be required for project assignments.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare swimming pool surfaces for resurfacing, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed

2. Apply new pool surface coatings and finishes to create a smooth, durable and visually appealing result

3. Troubleshoot and repair any issues with the pool structure or equipment as required

4. Liaise with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and deliver a final product that exceeds their expectations

5. Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant health and safety procedures

6. Assist with other general pool maintenance and refurbishment tasks as needed

1. Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, consistent results

2. Good communication and customer service skills to liaise effectively with clients

3. Physical fitness and stamina to complete manual tasks throughout the day

4. Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to work safely

5. A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

6. Valid Australian work rights are required for this position
